Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- Posted 12:47 -- December corn is down 4 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1 cent, December KC wheat is down 9 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/4 cents and December MIAX wheat is down 8 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 227.49 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.240 and November crude oil is down $1.56 per barrel. December gold is down $6.60 per ounce. Heading into the Tuesday finish wheat, corn and soybean oil are down, soybeans are little changed and soymeal is higher on the slow pace of harvest, The bean basis is up as processors try to source new beans and harvest has been delayed in the north. There is talk that the European Union maize crop might fall well under the 50 mmt estimates.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 274.84 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.190 and November crude oil is down $0.80 per barrel. December gold is down $16.30 per ounce. At mid-morning corn and beans are little changed to mostly lower while wheat and bean oil are under pressure. Soybean meal stands alone in the green. There is very little news as traders await news from the U.S.-China meeting that starts Thursday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 157.77 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.040 and November crude oil is down $1.80 per barrel. December gold is down $16.20 per ounce. Grain and soy markets are setting back on some profit-taking after Monday's strong start. Ahead is both the UN meeting in New York and the U.S.-China trade summit which begins Thursday. Traders will be watching for any news from those meetings that could influence markets.
LivestockPosted 11:36 -- December live cattle are down $2.75 at $219.25, October feeder cattle are down $2.68 at $327.575, December lean hogs are up $1.55 at $71.35, December corn is down 3 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is up $4.50. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 228.72 points and the NASDAQ is up 54.05 points. The livestock complex is trading mixed as the cattle contracts have dipped lower as traders long for stronger fundamental support. But meanwhile the lean hog contracts are still trading higher. No cash cattle trade has developed yet.
Posted 08:31 -- December live cattle are up $0.50 at $222.5, October feeder cattle are up $1.05 at $331.3, December lean hogs are up $0.75 at $70.55, December corn is down 4 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $0.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 183.89 points and NASDAQ is up 51.34 points. The livestock complex is again off to a stronger start as traders remain hopeful that fundamental support will arise later this week. No cash cattle trade has developed yet and both bids and asking prices remain elusive at this time.
