Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- On Sunday evening, December corn is down 7 1/4 cents, November soybeans are down 7 1/2 cents and September KC wheat is down 4 3/4 cents. Parts of Illinois and Indiana received beneficial rain amounts over the weekend, and the Eastern Corn Belt has additional rain chances the next two weeks. Triple-digit temperatures in Texas are stressing livestock and are expected to stick around this week. Outside markets lean bullish for grains with the September Dow Jones futures up 92 points and the September U.S. dollar index down 0.04. August crude oil is down 41 cents and August gold is up $2.10.
