Dry Auger

Gene Smallidge, Hastings, Minnesota, has recycled a poly stock tank to use as a cover for his auger hopper. He bolted a pair of handles to the tank, making it easy to put into place. A saber saw was used to cut a "dog house" opening at the place where the tank fits over the auger -- a couple of wraps there with a gunnysack keeps rain from flowing back down into the auger.
