Be careful when working in an open tractor or driving the truck along a fencerow when searching for a calf or a bad place in the fence. Tree limbs and brush can put out an eye in a second. Since your eyes are focused on something in the distance when looking away, your close vision is not that quick to react to fast-moving tree limbs, especially if the limbs have thorns like the locust trees here in Texas. I had an uncle who lost an eye while looking for a calf along a tree-lined fencerow from his truck seat, and a tree limb slapped him in the eye.
