USDA to Release Cattle on Feed, Other Key Reports in November Despite Shutdown
OMAHA (DTN) -- Despite the funding lapse and continuing government shutdown, USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) on Friday posted that some key reports will be released in November.
NASS stated the Nov. 1 Cattle on Feed report will be released on Friday, Nov. 21, as previously scheduled. The last Cattle on Feed report to be released was on Sept. 19. The October report, which was originally scheduled for release on Oct. 24, was canceled due to the government shutdown.
The World Agricultural Outlook Board will release the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) on Nov. 14, along with the Crop Production report. Both reports were initially scheduled for release on Nov. 10.

On social media, NASS employees stated that workers were brought back to work on reports without pay. At least some of the data for these reports was already collected before the government shutdown.
