ILLINOIS, Adams County. A 36-acre farm was sold at auction for $500,000, or $13,782 an acre. The property includes 30 acres of pasture, two ponds, outbuildings, along with a 5,300-square-foot home with eight bedrooms. The farm features a 2,400-head hog finishing building and 24-ton feed bins.

IOWA, Sioux County. An 85-acre farm sold at auction in two contiguous tracts for $2.2 million, or an average of $26,600 per acre. A 45-acre cropland property features nearly half-mile-long rows with a 91 soil rating and is 97% tillable. A 40-acre tract includes about 38 tillable acres and a soil rating of 91.8.

NEBRASKA, Valley County. A 1,113-acre farm was sold in six tracts at auction for $9.1 million, or an average of $8,058 an acre. The property features six pivot-irrigated quarters plus a 160-acre grassland/dryland tract. The farm features base acres for corn, wheat, soybeans and grain sorghum. The fourth tract includes a four-bedroom ranch-style home and indoor pools, along with a 5,700-square-foot steel building and a 20,000-bushel grain bin, along with an older house in the southwest corner of the tract. Tract two includes 46 acres of tillable cropland, and the remainder of the 160 acres is grassland. In the past, water for livestock was provided by an electric well in the southeast corner of the tract.

SOUTH DAKOTA, Lincoln County. A 457-acre farm sold for $6.4 million, or an average of $14,000 an acre. The whole farm includes 153 corn-based acres with a yield of 152 bushels per acre, as well as 143 soybean-based acres with a yield of 38 bushels per acre. The farm sold in tracts of 160, 144 and 153 acres. All three tracts are nearly 100% tillable, and the land is leased for the 2026 growing season.
