Auction to Offer 5,508 Acres of Ag, Recreational Land in South Dakota's 'Golden Triangle' Region
OMAHA (DTN) -- Witten Farms will offer 5,508 acres of fertile farmland and recreational land in South Dakota in an upcoming land auction, according to a news release. Hall and Hall Auction will hold the auction on Nov. 19.
The land being sold is located just outside of Winner, South Dakota. The land is a unique blend of highly productive agricultural acreage paired with some of the finest wild pheasant hunting in the region, according to the news release.
The highly productive farmland features over 90% tillable acres. The farmland has historically been planted to winter wheat, milo and corn with above-average Actual Production History (APH).
Grain bins, storage buildings with cement, homes, and hunting improvements are all included with the farmland, according to the listing.

The property is located within South Dakota's "Golden Triangle," which is an area celebrated for the highest concentration of wild pheasants in the state. This makes it a unique investment for both agricultural expansion and world-class upland game recreation.

The auction will take place at 10 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, Nov. 19. The location of the auction is St. Mary's Hall, 305 W. Third St., Winner, South Dakota 57580.
Information days will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, and Monday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon CDT. These events will be held at the Holiday Inn, 360 E. Highway 44, Winner, South Dakota 57580. An auction representative will be available to provide more information about the property and the auction process.
