Spot Ethanol Prices Plummet in Chicago, New York Harbor
Spot ethanol prices tumbled in Chicago and New York Harbor early Monday on the back of lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures, with trade volume thin at the start of this shortened trade week. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago cash market was talked at $1.37 gallon, down 4.5cts. In the rail shipment market, ethanol trading under Rule 11 terms was pegged at $1.38 gallon, down 1.0cts. November barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was talked at a $1.47 gallon for a 3.5cts loss on the session.
