Trop. Storm Ida Changes Direction

MIAMI (AP) -- Tropical Storm Ida has changed directions is it swirls over the subtropical Atlantic.

The storm's maximum sustained winds Tuesday morning are near 45 mph (75 kph) with some fluctuations in strength possible during the next two days.

Ida is centered about 965 miles (1,555 kilometers) east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and is now moving east-southeast around 5 mph (7 kph).

The storm is not a threat to any land.
