DECATUR, Ill. (DTN) -- Windshield time can sure get the thoughts rolling. For the past 12 years, DTN's View from the Cab series has taken readers on a ride through the growing season with working farmers talking about their struggles, successes and dreams each week from spring planting through harvest. We're looking for a few farmers to step into that role again for 2017.

Chase Brown, who participated last year, said he found the experience personally beneficial. "I became more aware of what I did day-to-day. Remembering what I'd accomplished at the end of the week was fun," said Brown.

"Probably the biggest thing that stood out from the experience is the comments I got from people from all over," he added.

DTN Special Correspondent Richard Oswald, who farms in Missouri, interviews the selected farmers and writes the weekly article.

Farmers interested in participating in View From the Cab during the 2017 season should send us a short note and tell us why you and your farm should be featured in this series. Give us an idea of what you grow and why you'd like to be considered and send to Pamela.smith@dtn.com.
