AgRevolution, a Midwest equipment dealership for Fendt and Massey Ferguson brands, is announcing a partnership with Vi by visorPRO. Vi is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered knowledge assistant built for equipment dealerships.

Vi enables dealerships to compile service and repair information from technical publications, details of service calls, work orders and a technician's own notes. It scans for parts on hand and highlights those that should be offered to the customer to complete the repair.

Putting all this information in the hands of a technician, Vi effectively helps the technician organize the day's service calls and arrive on the operation with an outline to clear repair and service issues, while also having the correct parts and supplies on board the service truck.

"This is something that we're piloting and testing, and it's very fresh to us," said Stacy Anthony, CEO of AgRevolution. "What we've seen so far through our initial pilot stage is that (Vi) is going to reduce friction in our organization and elevate the customer experience."

AgRevolution, known more simply by insiders as AgRev, is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGCO Corp. It is an agricultural equipment dealership with 12 stores in Kentucky, Ohio, southern Indiana and southern Illinois and 55 forward-deployed service trucks. AgRev tends all brands of equipment, including Fendt, Gleaner, Massey Ferguson, Hesston by Massey Ferguson, Precision Planting, RoGator/TerraGator, and Sunflower tillage tools.

"This is a tool that helps some of our folks perform and operate at a level above what their skill set is," Anthony said. "It's not above what they're capable of, but definitely above the skill set where they might be today."

Anthony points to a recent example. "Yesterday, we celebrated a technician who has been in the industry for 49 years. Now, when he walks out the door, he leaves all his experience behind (by way of Vi). His experience stays with us. Now we bring a 24-year-old in to replace him, and 49 years of experience is there in the AI tool for him to tap into."

Anthony believes Vi will speed up the solutions process. And that's important. "Anything that speeds solutions is what AgRev is all about," he said.

Vi is a one-stop tool for technical and support information. "(Our technicians) pick the make, model, brand, what you're working on, and then it's like any other AI chatbot -- you ask it a question on that product," said Daniel Stansbury, corporate service director. "You can ask it anything. What's the specification for the head bolt torque? Or, (if) I'm working on a MacDon, I can drill down into all its models. We can get as granular as we want in a search by serial number, the history of jobs that were done across all 12 of our locations. We can see the real-world processes from the notes our technicians made. The ability to search that in one spot is going to reduce the amount of time we spend looking for support."

Vi will become an important tool at the parts counter. "A grower comes in and says, 'I need a water pump.' Well, maybe the parts person just gets him a water pump," Stansbury said. "My goal would be that we search Vi for that model. It's going to pull in the work orders, what the technicians who have done this repair find. And it will give a parts list of what is (most commonly) used. Something from Vi like, 'Nine times out of 10 times, it looks like my technicians have used these gaskets, these O rings, and they needed five of these bolts.' Our goal with Vi is to elevate the customer experience in parts, to really be able to anticipate what a guy needs."
