AGCO Intros Same-Day Parts Delivery
AGCO's AgRevolution Dealer Offering On-Farm Parts Delivery in as Little as 2 Hours
PEMBROKE, Ky. (DTN) -- AGCO is launching AgRevolution's same-day delivery service for in-stock machinery parts on Thursday. AgRevolution, an AGCO-owned, full-line agricultural equipment dealer operating in Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana, said it will deliver parts directly to a technician in the field in as little as two hours.
"If (our) technician is on the farm and needs another part, we will deliver parts to him in two hours, four hours or six hours," AgRevolution CEO Stacy Anthony told DTN/Progressive Farmer. "That way the technician does not have to load up and return to the dealership. This adds value and saves time for the farmer." AgRevolution is using a third-party service to deliver parts.
AgRevolution was founded in 2021 with six brick-and-mortar outlets in Kentucky and southern Indiana. AgRevolution today has eight locations in Indiana, Kentucky and southern Illinois and 40 quarter-million-dollar-each mobile service trucks delivering parts, service and sales to farmers on-site, on-farm and online.
AgRevolution's business strategy focuses resources less on service center structures and instead on accomplishing as much service and repair work in the field or at the farm home.
AgRevolution's in-field service technicians with service trucks work from their homes, effectively spreading AgRevolution's on-the-ground service and repair footprint more strategically across its service and sales area. Techs don't return often to the dealerships for extended periods of time (they can have parts delivered to their homes the night before service calls). In some cases, the techs live within just a few miles of their customers, and with close customer contact, are even credited at times with new machinery sales.
Same-day parts delivery is the next step in AgRevolution's implementation of FarmerCore, AGCO's initiative to transform its customer experience by prioritizing on-farm service and sales support, smart network coverage and digital engagement.
"The biggest impact of this is we are adding value with in-field service, putting that at the center of everything we do," Anthony said. "It is central to our 'Farmer-First' commitment. If you can save a technician from having to come back to the dealership to pick up a part, you will get the farmer back up and going quicker, faster. We save him time and money."
AGCO's brand portfolio includes Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson, PTx and Valtra.
