Ethanol Inventory Down
EIA: Domestic Ethanol Production, Demand Increase Week Ended June 30
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) -- Overall ethanol production in the United States averaged 1.06 million barrels per day (bpd) as of June 30, up 8,000 bpd week-on-week and 16,000 bpd or 1.5% higher than in the same week last year, Energy information Administration data show. Four-week average output at 1.045 million bpd was 8,000 bpd below the same four weeks in 2022.
Midwest ethanol production averaged 999,000 bpd, up 8,000 bpd week-on-week and 13,000 bpd, or 1.3% higher than in the same week last year. The four-week average output at 985,000 bpd was 8,000 bpd below the same four weeks in 2022.

Ethanol blending activity in the U.S. averaged 923,000 bpd, up 26,000 bpd week-on-week and 19,000 bpd, or 2.1% higher than in the same week last year. The four-week average output at 909,000 bpd was 5,000 bpd above the same four weeks in 2022.
Blender inputs at the East Coast were up 7,000 bpd on the week, while inputs in the Midwest were up 10,000 bpd, up 4,000 bpd on the Gulf Coast and up 4,000 bpd on the West Coast.
Domestic ethanol inventories ended the week at 22.26 million barrels (bbl), down 719,000 bbl week-on-week and 1.23 million bbl, or 5.5% lower than in the same week last year.
East Coast PADD 1 inventories ended the week at 6.937 million bbl, down 338,000 bbl week-on-week and 436,000 bbl, or 6.3% lower than in the same week last year.
Midwest PADD 2 inventories ended the week at 8.637 million bbl, down 65,000 bbl week-on-week and 597,000 bbl, or 6.9% lower than in the same week last year.
Gulf Coast PADD 3 inventories ended the week at 4.043 million bbl, down 164,000 bbl week-on-week and 193,000 bbl, or 4.8% lower than in the same week last year.
West Coast PADD 5 inventories ended the week at 2.29 million bbl, down 143,000 bbl week-on-week and 35,000 bbl, or 1.5% higher than in the same week last year.
