COLORADO, Kit Carson County. Irrigated cropland totaling 188 acres sold at auction for $470,000. Average per-acre price was $2,500. All silt loam soils, the farm was sold with the current wheat crop going to the buyer. Contact: Don Hazlett, Farm and Ranch Realty Inc.;; 800-247-7863;

Illinois, Hamilton County. Outland Ranch, a sprawling but contiguous operation totaling 3,159 acres, sold for $9.4 million, or $2,975 per acre. The ranch included 1,500 acres of wooded land, 1,019 acres in pasture and CRP, and 640 acres in rolling cropland. Also part of the price, stocked lakes, stables, a home, a club house and a caretaker’s residence. Buyers were from out of state with a deer-hunting interest. KANSAS, Rawlins County. A property totaling 950 acres was offered at auction in five tracts. The property sold for $1.33 million, or $1,400 per acre. By tract, per-acre prices ranged from $1,900 to $700. About 420 acres of the property were cropland with 146 planted in wheat. The land included bases in wheat, corn and grain sorghum. KENTUCKY, Henderson and Union counties. An auction for two family LLCs with acreage totaling 3,517 brought $10.49 million. The property was sold in seven tracts with an average price of $2,982 per acre. Oil and gas rights were sold separately for $880,000. The property was a mix of cropland, woods, CRP and sloughs. Land prices ranged from an average of $3,845 for 1,728 acres of mostly cropland to $1,250 per acre for a 935-acre tract of almost all woods and sloughs. About 150 people attended the auction. MARYLAND, Prince George’s County. Two parcels totaling 116 acres sold for $389,992, or $3,362 per acre. The farm included 22 acres of cropland and 98 acres of woodland under a preservation easement. MINNESOTA, Otter Tail County. Two parcels of farmland totaling 318.55 acres sold at auction for $1.09 million, or $3,422 per acre. Both parcels sold to one buyer. The land included irrigated and nonirrigated cropland (295.72 acres), and mostly sandy loam soils. It was planted to corn in 2017, black beans in 2016. NORTH DAKOTA, Adams and Hettinger counties. Five parcels of cropland and pasture totaling 1,183.33 acres sold at auction for $1.72 million, or $1,454 per acre.
