OMAHA (DTN) -- Posted 12:50 -- December corn is down 24 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 cents, December KC wheat is down 20 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 15 1/2 cents and December MIAX wheat is down 12 3/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 407.67 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.150 and November crude oil is up $0.33 per barrel. December gold is up $62.70 per ounce. The shockingly large increase in corn yield and production in the October WASDE sent corn futures to limit losses at one point. It was any port in a storm as wheat and soybeans, with more neutral reports, fell in sympathy with corn. However, soybeans have now rallied back to unchanged. Soybean yield and production increases were minor, but resulted in both being record large at 53.1 bpa and 4.562 bb. Funds entered the report with significant long positions and are liquidating heavily with rumors that corn fund selling could amount to over 60,000 contracts by the end of the day.

At mid-morning, things are quiet in the corn and wheat markets, with those markets mixed in slow trade while soybeans and soy products are higher as traders await the release of the October USDA and WASDE reports.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 58.15 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.160 and November crude oil is down $0.47 per barrel. December gold is up $55.40 per ounce. Soybeans and soy products are higher while corn and wheat markets are modestly lower ahead of Friday's USDA production and WASDE reports.
LivestockPosted 11:40 -- December live cattle are up $2.68 at $226.225, November feeder cattle are up $6.73 at $341.6, December lean hogs are down $0.83 at $67.775, December corn is down 28 3/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $3.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 366.14 points and NASDAQ is up 152.00 points. Bids are on the table in both Kansas and Nebraska but no new trade has developed yet. There was some light trade noted in Nebraska on Thursday, but more trade will need to develop ahead of the week's end.
Posted 08:38 -- December live cattle are up $0.10 at $223.65, November feeder cattle are up $0.55 at $335.425, December lean hogs are down $0.83 at $67.775, December corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel and December soybean meal is up $5.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 111.27 points and NASDAQ is up 150.23 points. With hopefulness that the fed cash cattle market may be able to trade at least steady this week, the cattle contracts are off to a stronger start. No bids are on the table, but some light trade did develop on Thursday in the North at $345.
