Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- Posted 10:32 -- December corn is up 5 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 12 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is up 7 cents, December Chicago wheat is up 2 1/2 cents and December MIAX wheat is up 3 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 363.38 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.360 and November crude oil is down $1.21 per barrel. December gold is up $34.90 per ounce. At mid-morning, soybeans and soymeal are still sharply higher with corn and wheat also higher. Bean oil futures are down and likely influenced by the weak crude oil market. Traders are looking for USDA to drop corn yield in Friday's October report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 163.31 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.290 and November crude oil is down $1.59 per barrel. December gold is up $35.30 per ounce. Grain and soy markets are firmer with the exception of bean oil futures. Both corn and soy harvest progress is well behind average following heavy rain last week, but a clear path lies ahead this week. Crude oil continues to drift lower as oil shipments from the Gulf move toward pre-war levels.
LivestockPosted 08:40 -- December live cattle are up $1.00 at $220.975, November feeder cattle are up $1.98 at $332.1, December lean hogs are down $0.13 at $70.825, December corn is up 4 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is up $4.50. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 225.35 points and NASDAQ is up 165.47 points. Following Monday's close, the cattle contracts are off to a stronger start at Tuesday's open. No cash cattle trade has developed yet and bids and asking prices remain elusive.
