Corn market is following along but also is seeing some profit-taking after the recent strength. Soybeans have turned higher again, and we had another sale to China reported Thursday.

Posted 08:40 -- December corn is down 13 cents and November soybeans are down 16 cents. December KC wheat is down 28 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 33 cents, and December MIAX Minneapolis wheat is down 24 1/4 cents. October crude oil is up $0.83 and Dow Jones futures are up 400 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.56 and December gold is up $110.60. Row crop futures are heavily lower to start the Thursday day session, with technical selling and profit-taking kicking in after a historic August rally. At this point, a bit of a breather shouldn't be too alarming as the underlying fundamental situation for grains still leans bullish. Wheat is leading losses on comments from Russia's President Putin expressing some lingering optimism for a peace agreement in the Black Sea, though the latest Turkey-led push for a deal has gone nowhere. USDA reported another strong week for new-crop export sales, with China having purchased at least 8.3 mmt for the upcoming year thus far, according to USDA -- 1/3 of the reported trade truce volume commitments (25 mmt).
