Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- December corn is down 6 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 14 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 10 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 12 1/4 cents and September MIAX wheat is down 10 1/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 1,031.76 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.030 and September crude oil is down $4.65 per barrel. December gold is up $61.70 per ounce. Heading for the Tuesday finish, grains and the soy complex are down hard. Pressure is coming from the continued retreat in crude oil futures -- down nearly $5 per barrel Tuesday and down $18 since the late July high and the cooler and wetter forecast. Although news is lacking on a U.S.-Iran peace agreement, word from the White House is that the Strait of Hormuz could be opened by today or tomorrow.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 800.43 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.050 and September crude oil is down $3.83 per barrel. December gold is up $43.90 per ounce. Grain and soy markets are all sharply lower led by soybeans and wheat. Spot crude oil is nearly $4 per barrel lower and near $76 per barrel. It is likely that we are seeing long liquidation by funds Tuesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 660.33 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.020 and September crude oil is down $3.78 per barrel. December gold is up $50.30 per ounce. USDA: private exporters reported sales of 132,000 mt (4.9 mb) of soybeans to China for 2026/2027. Grain and soy markets are under heavy selling pressure as crude oil falls nearly $4 per barrel on the prospect for a longer-term peace agreement with Iran.
LivestockPosted 11:43 -- October live cattle are up $0.73 at $227.45, September feeder cattle are up $3.35 at $345.9, October lean hogs are up $0.05 at $83.725, December corn is down 7 3/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $4.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 957.73 points and the NASDAQ is up 541.79 points. With both midday boxed beef prices and pork cutout values higher, traders are willing to support the livestock contracts and push them higher into Tuesday's afternoon. Bids of $368 are currently on the table in Nebraska but no cattle have traded yet.
Posted 08:33 -- October live cattle are down $0.13 at $226.6, September feeder cattle are up $0.78 at $343.325, October lean hogs are down $0.03 at $83.65, December corn is down 4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $3.60. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 755.73 points and NASDAQ is up 258.13 points. The livestock complex is off to a mixed start at Tuesday's open as traders continue to desire more fundamental support. No developments have surfaced in the fed cash cattle market, and no bids or asking prices are currently noted.
