Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- May corn is up 6 cents per bushel, July soybeans are up 11 cents per bushel. July KC wheat is up 2 cents per bushel, July Chicago wheat is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel and July Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 370.23 points at 39,976.80. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.410 at 99.43. June crude oil is up $0.59 per barrel at $62.86. Ahead of the close, the soybean and soybean oil markets are surging, and old-crop corn futures are sharply higher on tightening supplies. Both old- and new-crop soy futures have now traded above all key moving averages.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 190.70 points at 39,797.27. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.340 at 99.51. June crude oil is down $0.03 per barrel at $62.24. At midmorning, wheat remains under pressure along with soymeal, while corn, soybeans and bean oil are each holding modest gains in quiet trade.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 206.34 points at 39,400.23. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.490 at 99.36. June crude oil is up $0.68 per barrel at $62.95. KC wheat has again fallen to a new low, while corn and soybeans are firmer in quiet trade. It looks like good rain is falling in western Kansas and Oklahoma. Spot soybean oil futures have risen to the highest level since November.
LivestockPosted 11:35 -- June live cattle are up $2.00 at $204.075, May feeder cattle are up $2.45 at $286.85, June lean hogs are up $0.08 at $98.025, May corn is down 2 cents per bushel and May soybean meal is down $1.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 527.16 points. Asking prices are noted in the South at $214 to $215 and in the North at $340-plus. Still no trade has developed, but it's anticipated that prices will be higher again this week.
Posted 08:36 -- Beef net sales of 10,300 mt for 2025 were down 41% from the previous week and 11% from the prior 4-week average. The three primary buyers were South Korea (3,200 mt), Japan (1,900 mt) and Hong Kong (1,300 mt). Pork net sales of 5,800 mt for 2025 -- a marketing year low -- were down 72% from the previous week and 82% from the prior 4-week average. The three largest buyers were Japan (6,300 mt), Mexico (3,800 mt) and South Korea (1,800 mt).
