DTN Daily Basis Comments
Corn Basis Stronger, Soybean Basis Weaker
The national average basis for corn was 1 cent stronger at 9 cents under the September futures contract while the DTN National Corn Index was up 6cents at $3.78. The national average basis for soybeans was 1 cent weaker at 25 cents under the November futures contract, and the DTN National Soybean Index was up 9 cents at $10.02. The national average basis for hard red winter (HRW) wheat was steady at 51 cents under the September futures contract, while the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index up 5 cents at $5.09. The national average basis for hard red spring (HRS) wheat was 14 cents stronger at 50 cents under the September futures contract (correction from Friday), while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was up 21 cents at $5.45.

SOYBEANS:
The national average soybean basis for Friday was 25 cents under the November futures, 1 cent weaker than Thursday's basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:
The national average SRW wheat basis for Friday was 57 cents under the September futures, 2 cents weaker than Thursday's Friday basis.
HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:
The national average HRW wheat basis for Friday was 51 cents under the Kansas City September futures, unchanged from Thursday's basis.
HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:
The national average HRS wheat basis for Friday was 50 cents under the Minneapolis September futures, 14 cents stronger (correction from Friday) than Thursday's basis.
