Grains

OMAHA (DTN) -- July corn is down 2 1/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 7 cents per bushel. July KC wheat is up 9 1/2 cents per bushel, July Chicago wheat is up 1/2 cent per bushel and July Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 229.26 points at 38,315.06 and The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.430 at 106.03 and June crude oil is up $0.31 per barrel at $83.88. As we near the close, wheat markets are still higher, but have retreated considerably from the highs as those markets get overbought. Soybeans are weaker on ideas that the current wet pattern could shift some acres to beans, and corn is just slightly weaker in slow trade. May option expiry is today, which could increase activity into the close.

Posted 08:42 -- June live cattle are up $0.23 at $178.025, August feeder cattle are up $1.28 at $259.575, June lean hogs are down $0.98 at $104.025, July corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel and July soybean meal is down $2.90.
