DTN Daily Basis Comments

DAILY BASIS AND CASH INDEX SUMMARY:

The national average basis for corn was 4 cents weaker at 24 cents over the July futures contract, (11 cents weaker versus one week ago) and the DTN National Corn Index was up 1 cent at $6.34. The national average basis for soybeans was 2 cents stronger at 35 cents under the July futures contract, while the DTN National Soybean Index was up 5 cents at $13.28. The national average basis for hard red winter (HRW) wheat was 2 cents weaker at 40 cents under the July futures contract, and the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was up 14 cents at $7.65. The national average basis for hard red spring (HRS) wheat was unchanged at 34 cents under the July futures contract, while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was up 22 cents at $7.82.

The national average corn basis for Thursday was 24 cents over the July futures, 4 cents weaker than Wednesday's basis.

SOYBEANS:

The national average soybean basis for Thursday was 35 cents under the July futures, 2 cents stronger than Wednesday's basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average SRW wheat basis for Thursday was 41 cents under the July futures, 1 cent weaker than Wednesday's basis.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average HRW wheat basis for Thursday was 40 cents under the Kansas City July futures, 2 cents weaker than Wednesday's basis.

HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:

The national average HRS wheat basis for Thursday was 34 cents under the Minneapolis July futures, unchanged from Wednesday's basis.
