DTN/Progressive Farmer offers this two-minute walk-around of Great Plains Ag's new vertical tillage VT1100 Turbo-Max -- check out a video on it at https://www.dtnpf.com/….

Around and inside the VT1100 Turbo-Max:

-- Frame. Stronger frame to support new finishing attachments, heavier transport tires and axles.

-- Chopper reels. A new chopper reel option for high-residue conditions; i.e. corn stalks or potato vines, manages wrapping and plugging.

-- Double finish. Optional double finishing reels for heavier, wetter soils or single basket attachment for drier, lighter soil. Both options with a choice of baskets -- flat bar (more aggressive, clays) or round bar (lighter soils, rocks).

-- Turbo options. Two Turbo blade options: 20-inch blades for harder and drier soils, medium-to-heavy texture, rocky terrains; 22-inch turbo blades for lighter-texture soils and deeper work.

-- Angle adjustments. Gangs angle from zero to six degrees. Hydraulic cylinders to make gang angle changes on the go.

-- Offset gangs. Offset front and rear gangs produce a cutting width of 3 3/4 inches at zero degrees.

-- Implement command. Optional Implement Command system. Set, adjust, and monitor the implement on the go, from the cab. Implement Command is ISOBUS-compatible and works with the tractor's existing terminal.

-- Five widths. VT1100 is available in widths 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 feet.
