DTN Daily Basis Comments

DAILY BASIS AND CASH INDEX SUMMARY:

The national average basis for corn was unchanged at 8 cents over the July futures contract, while the DTN National Corn Index was up 1 cent at $7.82. The national average basis for soybeans was 5 cents weaker at 35 cents over the August futures contract while the DTN National Soybean Index was down 22 cents at $16.97. The national average basis for hard red winter (HRW) wheat was 1 cent weaker at 51 cents under the July futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was up 7 cents at $11.11. The national average basis for hard red spring (HRS) wheat was 3 cents weaker at 48 cents under the July futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was down 6 cents at $11.73.

The national average corn basis for Friday is 8 cents over the July futures, unchanged from Thursday's basis.

SOYBEANS:

The national average soybean basis for Friday is at 35 cents over the August futures, 5 cents weaker than Thursday's basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average SRW wheat basis for Friday is at 69 cents under the July futures, 7 cents stronger than Thursday's basis.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average HRW wheat basis for Friday is at 51 cents under the Kansas City July futures, 1 cent weaker than Thursday's basis.

HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:

The national average HRS wheat basis for Friday is at 48 cents under the Minneapolis July futures, 3 cents weaker than Thursday's basis.
