DTN Daily Basis Comments

DAILY BASIS AND CASH INDEX SUMMARY:

The national average basis for corn was steady at 10 cents under the March futures contract. The DTN National Corn Index was also steady at $5.74. The national average basis for soybeans was 1 cent weaker at 36 cents under the January futures contract while the DTN National Soybean Index was down 6 cents at $12.26. The national average basis for hard red winter (HRW) wheat was 2 cents stronger at 16 cents under the March futures contract and the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was up 1 cent cents at $8.07. The national average basis for hard red spring (HRS) wheat was 4 cents stronger at 30 cents under the March futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was up 11 cents at $9.98.

The national average corn basis for Monday is 10 cents under the March futures, unchanged from Friday's basis.

SOYBEANS:

The national average soybean basis for Monday is at 36 cents under the January futures, 1 cent weaker from Friday's basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average SRW wheat basis for Monday is at 46 cents under the March futures, 1 cent weaker than Friday's basis.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average HRW wheat basis for Monday is at 16 cents under the Kansas City March futures, 2 cents stronger than Friday's basis.

HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:

The national average HRS wheat basis for Monday is at 30 cents under the Minneapolis March futures, 4 cents stronger than Friday's basis.
