On With the Show - Morton Buildings
The new Morton Buildings' Standard Line offers farmers affordable, basic storage options, which include the company's best-selling configurations, materials and features.
Morton Buildings, based in Morton, Illinois, recently announced that its most popular farm and residential post-frame steel storage buildings will be easier on the pocketbook to build while maintaining the same quality of construction its customers have come to expect.
The announcement couldn't come at a better time to help Midwest farmers and residents economically rebuild machine sheds, shops and other storage buildings after a wicked windstorm in August, explains Lisa Bocklage, Morton marketing manager. A derecho, with wind speeds that hit 140 mph, left a path of destruction from Nebraska to Ohio. Iowa sustained the most damage.
"Our hearts go out to all those affected by the storm," says Bocklage, noting the company has received hundreds of calls requesting damage assessments and building estimates. "We're working as efficiently and quickly as possible to help building owners."
The Standard Line features a 30 x 40 storage building starting at $21,000. A 60 x 120 building starts at $75,500. Neither includes site preparation, concrete, taxes, freight and other options.
Also new this year is a wood grain cedar steel paint color. It has a faux board-and-batten look.
