Beneficial Crop Conditions
OMAHA (DTN) -- A still-favorable pattern in the Midwest, and more heat and dryness across the Southern Plains, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.
MIDWEST STAYS FAVORABLE
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for another round of favorable weather for developing corn and soybeans during the next 10 days. Adequate soil moisture will be maintained, despite episodes of above- to much-above-normal temperatures. The forecast also includes a round of light to moderate rain across the region later in the week.
MORE SOUTHERN PLAINS DRYNESS
In the Southern Plains, above- to much-above-normal temperatures and little rainfall will continue to stress crops. Hot and dry conditions will also stress filling wheat in western Kansas.
HOT FOR WEST TEXAS
West Texas cotton areas have no significant rainfall during the next seven days, although a few light showers may occur at times. High temperatures will range from 98 to 102 Fahrenheit through Friday before the heat eases slightly during the weekend.

BENEFICIAL NORTHERN PLAINS PATTERN
The Northern Plains region continues with favorable conditions for crops. Periodic showers help to ease dryness.
DRY TREND IN DELTA
In the Delta, conditions are mostly favorable conditions for corn, soybeans and cotton at this time. Heat from the southwestern Plains bears watching for possible stress to crops.
BETTER PRAIRIES MOISTURE
Canadian Prairies crops, especially in eastern areas, have better soil moisture following moderate to heavy rain late last week.
SHOWERS FOR WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Showers have formed in Western Australia wheat areas, with mostly light to locally moderate totals expected. Rain is needed to support germination and early growth of wheat in this area.
