DowDuPont’s Agriculture Division is rebranding itself under the new name of Corteva Agriscience. Crafted from two words meaning “heart” and “nature,” the name is said to be a signal of the company’s commitment to “enhancing farmer productivity as well as the health and well-being of the consumers they serve.”

Corteva combines DuPont Crop Protection, DuPont Pioneer and Dow AgroSciences to serve as a stand-alone company covering seed technologies, crop protection and digital agriculture. The company will also house the farm-management software company Granular, which DuPont acquired in August 2017.

Corporate headquarters for Corteva will be in Wilmington, Delaware. Global business centers are planned for Johnston, Iowa, and Indianapolis, Indiana. The change is expected to be complete by June 1, 2019.
