What DTN Is Watching

Markets

It is expected to be a quiet news day for grains Wednesday with traders watching for headlines of new export sales (morning), chatter regarding South American harvests, and updated weather forecasts. Financial markets will keep an eye out for the release of the latest FOMC minutes set for release Wednesday afternoon.

Weather

Light to moderate snow is in store for the western U.S., Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies Wednesday, and light rain will form in the southeastern U.S. along with a light rain and freezing precipitation mix in the northeastern U.S. Dry conditions will be in effect elsewhere. Temperatures will be seasonal in the northwest and well above normal elsewhere. Early-season fieldwork activity will be enhanced in the central U.S. ahead of a colder pattern with rain and snow by the end of the week.
