Market Impact Weather
Milder in Midwest
OMAHA (DTN) -- A milder trend in the Midwest and Southern Plains, and additional rain chances for Argentina, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.
MODERATING MIDWEST TEMPERATURES
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for temperature trends to show consistent moderation through the remainder of the week. This will improve conditions for livestock and transportation. Winter wheat areas of the eastern Midwest had beneficial precipitation during the past weekend.
DRYNESS TO DOMINATE SOUTHERN PLAINS
In the Southern Plains, dry conditions remain in effect in the forecast through the next 10 days. Only light showers are indicated for the driest western locales. Temperatures will be much milder than the bitter cold of the past weekend, with winterkill extent still to be determined.

WARMING TREND IN NORTHERN PLAINS
In the Northern Plains, a warmer trend over the next five days will improve transportation conditions and reduce livestock stress. Scattered winter precipitation as mainly snow is indicated during the rest of this week.
MILD WEEK IN DELTA
In the Delta, a bout of cold conditions in soft red winter wheat areas is over for now. Mostly favorable conditions are in effect through the rest of this week.
BENEFICIAL BRAZIL PATTERN
Across Brazil, mostly favorable conditions for development of early-planted corn and soybeans remain in effect. Northeast areas are drier and will only see light rainfall during this week. However, the majority of the crop-growing areas have favorable soil moisture.
VARIABLE ARGENTINA TREND
Central Argentina will have at least one more day of hot temperatures before a milder pattern with potential rainfall moves into the region. Rain is still needed in portions of Santa Fe and Cordoba that missed last weekend's activity; however, there are additional rain chances Wednesday and Thursday as well as during the upcoming weekend.
