Safety Tip of the Month November 2023

Use a jack stand to offer extra load support when using a floor jack. (Steve Thompson)

Always be sure when using a floor jack to support a load to put a jack stand under the load for safety. A floor jack can blow an "O-ring" and drop the load suddenly. The photo is of a wide pickup cylinder in the shop for pickup cam replacement. This particular piece is unbalanced, sharp, heavy and dangerous. We at Progressive Farmer do care about your safety.
