Change is a constant in agriculture. Few things remain the same from season to season, let alone year to year. When we switched to hosting the DTN Ag Summit virtually in 2022 from an in-person event, we knew we had an opportunity to grow, or in others, change.

We saw two great opportunities in this change. First, we are able to expand our audience, including people who may not be able to travel to an in-person event for myriad reasons. But, the second reason is perhaps the most exciting. Moving our premier business content and speakers to a virtual/digital delivery platform opens the door to more frequent events.

The result? We launched the Ag Summit Series this past February. It's designed to be fast-paced, consisting of multiple sessions on timely topics that conclude before lunch. In our first Ag Summit Series, industry experts over the course of about three hours covered fuel and fertilizer markets, giving attendees insights into price/supply trends and buying opportunities. In addition, DTN Ag Meteorologist John Baranick explained how the shift from three years of La Nina to potentially an El Nino situation will affect weather patterns. DTN Lead Analyst Todd Hultman walked through his outlooks for the grain markets and potential pricing opportunities for farmers.

We're planning more Ag Summit Series events in 2023. These are morning affairs designed to give you additional content beyond what you find in Progressive Farmer or on www.dtnpf.com. We'll also host the full Ag Summit event over two mornings in December.

I hope you'll plan to join us on:

-- May 23 for a discussion of crop conditions and agronomic concerns for the growing season

-- Aug. 15 for a deep dive into the mechanics of the DTN Digital Yield Tour, as well as grain market and weather updates as you prepare for harvest

-- Dec. 5-6 for the full DTN Ag Summit. Sessions will feature some of the industry's best you've come to expect at the DTN Ag Summit. Speakers will take a 50,000-foot view of national and global topics important to ag. And, we'll introduce our new class of America's Best Young Farmers and Ranchers.
