Safety Tip of the Month September 2022

(Steve Thompson)

Be careful when picking up tools that have been out in the hot sun for an extended period. The temperature reached 109°F during the month of July here in Texas, and tools and parts reached temperatures that will burn your skin. I have seen temps over 140° on tools in the sun, and your skin will receive first-degree burns at 118°, second-degree burns at 131° and be totally destroyed at 162°.
