Give Your Business a Boost at DTN's Ag Summit
It's hard not to break into the lunch box at 9 a.m. when you're sitting in the combine cab. We all have a tendency toward boredom when we're doing something repetitive, such as driving up and down a field. If you're like me, eating when your brain is in semiautonomous mode seems like a natural thing to do.
Next time you find yourself reaching for the cooler, even when you know it's not time yet, here's something for you to think about instead. What are you doing the first week of December? What are the odds you'll still be in that combine seat?
It's OK if you don't know the answer to either question yet. It's only October. But, we all know how quickly these days go by, and before you know it, December will have come and gone. That's why I'd like you to start thinking about joining us in Chicago for the 14th annual DTN Ag Summit.
This year's event will give you tools and insights to help Power Up Your Business, from steps you can take to protect your data from internet thieves to creative ways to manage rising input expenses. Former ambassador to China and Iowa's longest-serving governor Terry Branstad will kick the event off with his perspective on what you need to know about agriculture's largest customer.
You'll hear from John Deere's lead economist on agriculture, top experts on the latest developments in Washington, D.C., and a panel of farmers and industry executives on the good, the bad and the ugly of new carbon and sustainability initiatives. As always, DTN experts will share their forecasts on the markets and weather.
Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker, farmer and entrepreneur Chad Greenway will share how growing up on a farm helped prepare him for success not only in sports but also in business. He will also speak about how he's sourcing corn from young farmers to make his Gray Duck Vodka. After a tasting, we'll introduce you to the latest class of America's Best Young Farmers and Ranchers as we celebrate the next generation of American agriculture at a special party.
It promises to be one of the best Ag Summits yet, and it'll be even better if you join us Dec. 5 through 7 at the Fairmont Millennium Park.
