OMAHA (DTN) -- Day 1 of the Wheat Quality Council's Hard Spring Wheat and Durum Tour concluded Tuesday, with a total weighted average yield estimate of 45.9 bushels per acre (bpa). Scouts assessed 87 wheat fields along six routes across the southern third of North Dakota from Fargo to Bismarck.

Last year, the average yield estimate along these routes was 49.8 bpa.
