Market Impact Weather
Dry Regions Stay Dry
Omaha (DTN) -- Additional dryness in central Argentina, and another week of dry conditions for the Southern Plains, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Friday.
DRY WEEKEND FOR ARGENTINA
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for more losses to late-filling soybeans in Argentina due to drought. Rainfall Friday night is expected to be mostly on the light side followed by another significant period of dry weather.
SOUTHERN BRAZIL RAIN FORECAST
Across Brazil, favorable soil moisture continues for developing second-crop corn in central Brazil with no end to the rainy season in sight. In the south, wet weather in Rio Grande do Sul over the weekend will disrupt the soybean harvest.

ADDITIONAL DRYNESS IN SOUTHERN PLAINS
There is no significant precipitation expected in the Southern Plains during the next 10 days. Winter wheat crop ratings are already poor in many areas.
DISRUPTIVE MIDWEST RAIN
Across the Midwest, a cool and wet pattern will delay spring fieldwork and any early corn planting in the south.
SNOW FOR NORTHERN PLAINS
In the Northern Plains, North Dakota is expected to see snow with melted precipitation of 0.25 to 0.50 inch centered on Friday. The crop area will benefit from the added moisture but the snow will lead to transport delays and will be unfavorable for livestock.
WET DELTA FORECAST
The Delta will have very heavy rain over the next week. Saturated soil along with the wet pattern will delay corn planting.
