OMAHA (DTN) -- Continued dryness in central Argentina, and overall favorable conditions across Brazil, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.

ADDITIONAL ARGENTINA HEAT AND DRYNESS

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for a continued dry and hot pattern in central Argentina crop areas through the next several days. Hot weather through Wednesday and possibly Thursday maintain high stress levels on reproductive and filling corn and soybeans. Private analysis firms are lowering yield and crop size projections. Showers and cooler weather are forecast for the end of this week; however, only limited crop benefit is indicated.

MORE RAIN FOR CENTRAL BRAZIL

Across Brazil, recent heavy rains over Mato Grosso, Goias, and west Bahia may favor filling soybeans. Some harvest delays may occur, but delay potential is outweighed by soil moisture benefit. Farther south, mostly favorable conditions for crops are in effect from Parana to Rio Grande do Sul at this time.

DRY PATTERN AGAIN IN SOUTHERN PLAINS

In the Southern Plains, a round of snow Tuesday is bringing some precipitation for the north and central areas, but not enough to significantly improve drought conditions. Cold weather is not expected to harm wheat during the next week; however, longer-range projections suggest the potential for a cold wave to move into the region.

COLD AND SNOW IN NORTHERN PLAINS

In the Northern Plains and western Midwest, a round of low temperatures and periodic snow will cause transport delays along with livestock stress. The most severe cold impact will be in North Dakota.
