Row crop futures are firm to begin the new week, with plenty of bullish storylines for traders to choose from. First and foremost, U.S. weather remains concerning for the development of spring planted crops, with hit or miss rainfall forecasted along with plenty of heat for the balance of July. Meanwhile, geopolitical risks remain present with no reports of relief to logistical constraints in the Black Sea, and the war between the U.S. and Iran continuing to escalate in the Persian Gulf. With some expecting up to a 50-year low in European corn production this fall, it is expected that the U.S. will stand to be a primary supplier should Ukraine's export capabilities remain hindered.
