11 Dead After Attack on Baghdad Mosque

BAGHDAD (AP) -- Iraqi security officials say a suicide bomber has attacked a Shiite mosque in Baghdad, killing at least 11 people and wounding 20.

Interior Ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan said the attacker detonated his bomb in the doorway of the mosque as worshippers were exiting after midday prayers on Wednesday.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast. The Islamic State group, which controls large swaths of northern and western Iraq, has repeatedly targeted Shiite Muslims, who it views as apostates.
