BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (DTN) -- Polaris Off Road introduced its 2025 full-size Ranger lineup on Wednesday with models the manufacturer is specifically targeting to farmers and ranchers with 4,500-pound (lb) winches, cargo beds with room for a half-ton of supplies and materials, and 2,500 lbs of towing capacity. An upgraded second-generation transmission reduces shifting effort by 50%.

At one end of its price range, Polaris is offering a price reduction on its base 2025 Ranger 1000. That utility side-by-side can be had for $13,999 (999cc engine, 61 horsepower). At the other side of the price range, Polaris is launching a couple of special-edition Rangers for 2025.

The Ranger Crew XP 1000 Waterfowl Edition returns to the hunt from an absence (999cc, 82 horsepower, starting at $25,499). It is designed for flooded and muddy terrain access. The Waterfowl Edition runs on 29-inch Pro Armor Mud XC tires and has arched A-arms for traction, ground clearance and stability. The special edition model also features a high-mount winch, high-mount intakes and is available in Waterfowl Hunt Camo.

Polaris also is rolling out an all-new Ranger Crew XP 1000 NorthStar Texas Edition (999cc, 82 horsepower, starting at $36,999). It features arched A-arms, 14 inches of ground clearance on 29-inch Pro Armor X-Terrain tires, factory-installed heating and air conditioning, 4,500-lb winch, Ride Command, Pro Shield Cab with full glass tip-out windshield and power front windows and Texas Edition badging in a Bronze Pearl Metallic coating.

Both special-edition Ranger Crews seat up to six passengers.
