RAVEN REVEALS OMNIPOWER 3200

CNH Industrial subsidiary Raven Industries is launching its OMNiPOWER 3200, the newest of its autonomous power platforms. OMNiPOWER gives ag professionals the ability to perform multiple farming operations autonomously. The new 3200 model will accelerate the adoption of advanced autonomous solutions with the addition of mechanical, functional and aesthetic enhancements that improve efficiency and make autonomy more practical for growers, Raven said.

OMNiPOWER 3200 runs on a new Tier 5 engine with increased horsepower compared to the previous OMNiPOWER system. The machine's hydraulics system has been optimized, adding about 50% more power to the ground and improving operating speeds. The new model also eases operator serviceability.

DEERE ADDS NEW TECH, POWER TO 8, 9 SERIES TRACTORS

John Deere has made updates to its 8 and 9 Series tractors for model year 2023 by adding new technology and power. For the largest models of 8 Series Tractors, John Deere is offering a new stepless Electric Variable Transmission (EVT) that enables precise speed control and enhanced drivability. For 9 Series Tractors, the largest models will be powered by a redesigned JD14X (13.6L) diesel engine.

For customers who prefer stepless transmissions for infinite speed control and ease of drivability, the new EVT will be available for all 410-horsepower 8 Series Tractors, including 8R, 8RT and 8RX models.

As farmers look to the future, the EVT will likely be the transmission of choice for many customers, Deere expects. That's because EVT-equipped 8 Series tractors will optionally feature electric power generation capable of offboarding electricity to power implements. The EVT is the industry's only transmission that enables electric power generation (up to 100kW), Deere says. By using this electricity, farmers could power implement fan drives, replace implement hydraulic pumps, or assist the tractor by powering the implement's axles.

This is similar to technology John Deere currently uses on construction equipment.

Agricultural implements with powered axles are already successfully used in Europe to help push the tractor from behind while working in the field.

For model year 2023, John Deere 9R 640 and 9RX 640 tractors will now also be powered by the all-new, completely redesigned JD14X diesel engine, producing 640-rated horsepower. Based on internal testing, the JD14X engine in 9R 640 and 9RX 640 tractors uses 7% less fuel than previous models, Deere said.

DEERE UPDATES MODEL YEAR 2023 PLANTERS

John Deere has announced updates to its model year 2023 planters that include a new configuration for the 1725C 16R30 planter and enhanced frame design for existing 1725C 12R36/38 and 12R38/40 planters, along with other enhancements that will add value for corn and cotton producers.

The 1725C replaces the 1725CCS planter, which will still be offered until the end of model year 2023. The 1725C 16-row planter offers individual-row hydraulic downforce, pneumatic closing wheels and ExactRate. In addition, the 1725 offers improved frame weight distribution and better maneuverability without the need for lift-assist wheels compared to the 1725CCS.

Updates to the 1725 16R30 planter include a new configuration with enhanced frame design and a 55-bushel Central Commodity System (CCS). Farmers can now order the 1725C 16R30 planter with the optional ExactRate fertilizer system.

BROCK OFFERS MID-ROOF WALKAROUNDS

Brock EVEREST bins can reach heights up to 150 feet. As more equipment is being installed on these tall roofs, many commercial grain operations and large farm operations are choosing to install roof safety walkarounds.

Brock Mid-Roof Walkarounds are permanently installed walkways giving workers 360-degree access to grain bin roofs and mounted components.

Brock's Mid-Roof Walkarounds are designed for EVEREST Bins 60 feet in diameter and up and are now available to order. Mid-roof walkarounds for bin models 36-54 feet in diameter will be available by midyear 2022.
