OMAHA (DTN) -- Attention to rain prospects in central Brazil and possible snow for the U.S. Southern Plains wheat areas are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.

EASTERN MIDWEST SNOW

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for additional snow in the eastern Midwest Tuesday. The snow will delay final corn harvest. The remainder of the region will be dry.

SNOW FOR SOUTHERN PLAINS

In the Southern Plains, moderate to heavy snow is indicated for the corridor from central Kansas through northern Oklahoma during midweek. This event promises to bring some useful moisture to winter wheat.

MILD IN NORTHERN PLAINS

The Northern Plains regions continues with a dry and mild pattern through early December. No stressful cold is expected. This pattern is favorable for livestock.

SOUTHEAST FREEEZE

Southeast crop areas have harsh freezing conditions early this week. Some damage to produce and fruit crops may have occurred.

BRAZIL RAIN POTENTIAL

Central and southern Brazil crop areas continue with prospects for moderate to locally heavy rain during the next 10 days. This prospect is getting close attention, especially in central areas. Soybeans are showing stunted growth in the region and are going into the bloom phase with very dry conditions. This moisture chance will be closely watched.

LIGHT ARGENTINA RAIN FORECAST

Argentina's forecast features light rain during the next week. Temperatures have a below-normal trend which may keep the drier pattern from causing crop stress.

BOUNTIFUL AUSTRALIA WHEAT HARVEST

Updated Australia wheat crop estimates call for production of more than 30 million metric tons, well-above drought-reduced production the past two seasons. This large estimate is tangible evidence of the benefit of increased rain during this growing season. Production may be the second-largest on record, a runner-up only to the 2016-17 crop year.
