Midwest Crops See Mainly Beneficial Weather Pattern
OMAHA (DTN) -- A continuing mostly favorable pattern for the Midwest and dryness concerns in Europe are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Friday.
MIDWEST FAVORABLE PATTERN TO CONTINUE
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for favorable conditions for late-pollinating and filling corn and developing and filling soybeans with moderate temperatures and adequate moisture conditions to continue. In the six- to 10-day outlook, temperatures will be variable and rainfall near to below normal west, and near to above normal east.
TRENDING DRIER FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS
In the Central and Southern Plains, soils will be trending drier during the next seven to 10 days with near- to above-normal temperatures and mostly below-normal rainfall.
DRY TREND FOR WEST TEXAS
In west Texas, soils will be trending drier during the next seven to 10 days with near- to above-normal temperatures and mostly below normal rainfall.

LITTLE RAINFALL FOR NORTHERN PLAINS
The Northern Plains expects to see favorable conditions for developing corn and soybeans with adequate soil moisture and moderate temperatures. However, little rainfall and episodes of hot weather during the next seven to 10 days will deplete soil moisture. There still is favorable weather for maturing and harvesting spring wheat.
LIMITED RAIN FOR CANADIAN PRAIRIES
Limited rainfall and episodes of hot weather in the Canadian Prairies stresses filling wheat and canola in some southern areas.
DRYNESS IN EUROPE
In Europe, little rainfall along with episodes of hot weather are affecting the wheat and corn crops.
BENEFICIAL RAINS FOR NORTH CHINA
In northeastern China, some beneficial rains are expected throughout the region during the next five days.
BENEFICIAL SHOWERS IN CENTRAL CHINA
In central China, some beneficial showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the next five days.
DRIER OUTLOOK FOR WEST-CENTRAL INDIA
The main oilseed areas of west-central India have adequate soil moisture at this time, but will be on the drier side during the next seven to 10 days and deplete soil moisture.
