DTN's Quick Takes

Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets

Grains

OMAHA (DTN) -- The grain and oilseed complex is mostly lower shortly after the open of Sunday's overnight session. Soybeans are down 1 to 2 cents, corn is unchanged, and wheat contracts are fractionally lower. Most of the activity looks to be follow-through from Friday's bearish close. Light commercial selling could develop in soybeans, possibly corn, given harvest progress over the weekend. Metals are mostly lower with gold pressured by a stronger U.S. dollar index, again, while crude oil looks to be ignoring all that and posting a small rally of about $0.30. DJIA futures are up almost 20 points.
