AGCO LAUNCHES SERVICE AND INFORMATION PORTAL
AGCO Corporation on Wednesday announced the launch of its Service and Information Portal, one piece of its FarmerCore digital pillar.
With the Service and Information Portal, North American farmers have digital access to operator and maintenance manuals, warranty information, product support programs and dealer information, all of it customizable to the specifics of customer fleets. The portal also allows farmers to access the latest operator manuals at no cost.
"The FarmerCore Service and Information Portal provides farmers with a quick and easy way to access details about their machinery and equipment," said Stefan Caspari, AGCO senior vice president of customer success and business effectiveness. "This is just the beginning of the 24/7 online access to support and sales that we are creating through FarmerCore to help farmers' operations run smoothly and minimize disruptive downtime."
The portal will be available to farmers globally in the future.

CASE IH AND STEYR WIN 2025 TRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS
CNH Industrial ag brands Case IH and STEYR have grabbed 2025 EIMA Tractor of the Year awards. The awards were announced at the International Exhibition of Agricultural and Gardening Machinery (EIMA) held in Bologna, Italy. The EIMA awards represent innovative machines, accessories and components.
"These awards are recognition of our great iron and tech," said Carlo Alberto Sisto, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The CNH winners:
-- Quadtrac 715. The new model in the Case IH tractor range, the Quadtrac 715 won the Tractor of the Year 2025 in the "High Power" category for models of 300 horsepower and above.
The Quadtrac 715 includes a heavy-duty mechanical suspension with hydraulic cushioning to improve operator comfort and productivity. Bigger drive wheels maximize power transmission and provide more lug engagement, while a larger footprint boosts traction and reduces soil compaction. Service time is minimized through automatic track tensioning, elimination of undercarriage greasing points, clear-view oil caps and maintenance-free bushings and pins.
-- STEYR Plus. The STEYR Plus won Tractor of the Year 2025 in the Utility category. Launched last year, the 4120 Plus 70-150 horsepower model includes a four-cylinder FPT Stage V 3.6-liter engine and S-Control 2 24F/24R powershuttle transmission. For the first time at this power level, a full precision farming package can be specified, including STEYR connectivity features for remote recording and monitoring, and S-Guide auto-steering.

AGCO REPORTS DIFFICULT THIRD QUARTER
AGCO is reporting net sales of $2.6 billion for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2024, a number representing a decrease of 24.8% compared to the third quarter of 2023.
Net sales for the first nine months of 2024 (January through September) were approximately $8.8 billion, a decrease of 17.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
AGCO said equipment sales are a victim of low commodity prices and high input costs. That has contributed to both dealers and farmers reducing -- or, at best, maintaining -- their current equipment inventories, resulting in ongoing production cuts.
AGCO said demand for new equipment has softened in most global markets. "We continue to expect increased adoption of precision technology, but more challenging farm economics are resulting in weaker global industry demand across most equipment categories," said Eric Hansotia, AGCO's chairman, president and CEO.
North American tractor sales (all brands included) decreased 11% during the first nine months of 2024 compared to the first nine months of 2023. Sales declines were relatively consistent across horsepower categories, with higher-horsepower categories declining more in recent months, AGCO said. Combine unit sales, all brands, were down 19% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
Lower projected farm income and a newer fleet are expected to continue to pressure industry demand for the remainder of 2024.
AGCO expects net sales for all of 2024 to be about $12 billion, reflecting lower sales volumes.
