KIOTI Adds RX40 Utility to Tractor Line
KIOTI Launches RX40 Series Utility Tractor
KIOTI Tractor on Tuesday introduced its RX40 series utility tractor line built for haying, livestock, material handling and landscaping. It represents a new addition to the RX20 line of tractors KIOTI continues to build.
Equipped with KIOTI's inline, water-cooled four-cylinder turbocharged CRDI (common rail direct injection) diesel engine and 26-gallon fuel capacity, the RX40 is offered in five models ranging from 66-73 horsepower, and with ROPS or five-pillar cab configurations.
The cab is bigger and designed for operator comfort. The controls are reconfigured and there is a new feature: an optional instructor seat.
"We've got more interior height for taller operators, and we've added an instructor seat," Joel Hicks, KIOTI associate tractor product line manager for tractors, told DTN/Progressive Farmer. "Also, everything predominately has moved to the right-hand side of the machine. The layout is more user-friendly. Now you've got your main shift and range shifter on the right-hand side."
The RX40 is available in two transmission options: power shuttle or power shuttle with creeper. The new KIOTI tractor also includes an electronic three-point lift capacity of up to 4,327 pounds. Controls for both also are laid out on the right side of the cab.
Here are additional features of the RX40:
-- Cab: A five-pillar cab and standard, air-ride suspension seat. The cab is outfitted with climate control and an optional instructor seat. KIOTI also offers a sunroof in the cab to give operators a better look at overhead work. "If you're using the loader, especially up real high -- stacking round bales or moving dirt -- now you can slide the sunroof open, and you've got this nice transition from the top of the windshield up to the sunroof," Hicks said. "You can see where the bucket is."
-- Hood: An updated, streamlined hood design improves forward sightlines for better ground visibility and easier maintenance access. "We try to focus on how the operator is going to interact with the machine. Bringing the hood down a bit lower, more slope gives more visibility through the windshield," Hicks said. "With the mechanical self-leveling loader, we also paid attention to how the loader mounts to the tractor. We tried to keep the main frames and the bearing boxes down, more in line with the hood height, so it doesn't impact that visibility."
-- Operation: The RX40 has an electronic three-point hitch, power steering, a tilt steering wheel, and an LED instrument panel.
-- Remote: One remote is standard. Buyers can stack additional valves as options.
-- PTO: The RX40 features a hydraulic independent PTO. The 540/540E PTO includes a factory-installed joystick for ease of control.
-- Maneuverability: Engage four-wheel-drive and lock the differential for traction. Change direction using the power shuttle lever and travel at speeds up to 24 mph.
-- Fenders: New front and rear fender options to control mud and road debris.
The RX40 models are available now at KIOTI dealerships in the U.S. KIOTI is a division of Daedong-USA Inc.
