Commodities Market Impact Weather
Eastern Midwest Rain
OMAHA (DTN) -- Heavy rain in store for the eastern Midwest and continued beneficial rainfall in Brazil crop areas are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.
RAIN FOCUS IN EASTERN MIDWEST
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for eastern Midwest crop areas to have notable late-stage harvest disruption due to heavy rain during the balance of this week. Western Midwest harvest will have only minor interruption, due to light precipitation.
DRIER FOR SOUTHERN PLAINS
In the Southern Plains, soil moisture supplies are ample for winter wheat development. A drier pattern this week will allow for additional wheat planting, along with favoring crop development.
LIGHT NORTHERN PLAINS SHOWERS

In the Northern Plains, light showers will produce minor harvest disruption, mostly later in the week.
ADDITIONAL BRAZIL RAIN
Brazil crop areas have a continued pattern of showers and thunderstorms across the major crop areas. Soil moisture is beneficial for developing soybeans.
ARGENTINA SHOWERS
In central Argentina, rain Monday and Tuesday will provide for more favorable soil moisture for early planted crops.
EUROPE RAIN
In Europe, rain occurred Monday night in northeastern France and Belgium. Additional rain chances are in store this week. Rain in northern crop areas will be useful for soil moisture. Meanwhile, heavy rain and flooding have featured in Italy.
DRY RUSSIA FORECAST
Russia winter wheat areas will be dry over the next week. Winter wheat has very little soil moisture going into dormancy.
