DTN Daily Basis Comments

DAILY BASIS AND CASH INDEX SUMMARY:

The national average basis for corn was 2 cents weaker at 10 cents over the May futures contract, while the DTN National Corn Index was up 3 cents at $6.66. The national average basis for soybeans was 4 cents weaker at 43 cents under the May futures contract, while the DTN National Soybean Index was up 3 cents at $14.61. The national average basis for hard red winter (HRW) wheat was unchanged at 33 cents under the May futures contract, while the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was down 5 cents at $8.30. The national average basis for hard red spring (HRS) wheat was unchanged at 29 cents under the May futures contract, and the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was down 3 cents at $8.31.

The national average corn basis for Wednesday was 10 cents over the May futures, 2 cents weaker than Tuesday basis.

SOYBEANS:

The national average soybean basis for Wednesday was 43 cents under the May futures, 4 cents weaker than Tuesday basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average SRW wheat basis for Wednesday was 47 cents under the May futures, unchanged from Tuesday basis.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average HRW wheat basis for Wednesday was 33 cents under the Kansas City May futures, unchanged Tuesday basis.

HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:

The national average HRS wheat basis for Wednesday was 29 cents under the Minneapolis May futures, unchanged from Tuesday basis
