DTN Daily Basis Comments
Corn Basis Climbs Higher
The national average basis for corn was 2 cent stronger at 11 cents under the September futures contract and the DTN National Corn Index was down 6 cents at $4.21. The national average basis for soybeans was 1 cent stronger at 72 cents under the August futures contract and the DTN National Soybean Index was up 7 cents at $8.14. The national average basis for HRW wheat was 1 cent stronger at 21 cents under the September futures contract and the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was down 1 cent at $4.18. The national average basis for HRS wheat was unchanged at 46 cents under the September futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was down 6 cents at $4.81.

The DTN National Corn Index for Tuesday indicated a national average basis of 11 cents under the Chicago September futures contract, 2 cents stronger than Monday's basis.
SOYBEANS:The DTN National Soybean Index for Tuesday indicated a national average basis of 72 cents under the Chicago August futures contract, 1 cent stronger than Monday's basis.
SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:The DTN National Soft Red Winter (SRW) Wheat Index for Tuesday indicated a national average basis of 20 cents under the Chicago September futures, 1 cent weaker than Monday's basis.
HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:The DTN National Hard Red Winter (HRW) Wheat Index for Tuesday indicated a national average basis of 21 cents under the Kansas City September futures contract, 1 cent stronger than Monday's basis.
HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:The DTN National Hard Red Spring (HRS) Wheat Index for Tuesday indicated a national average basis of 46 cents under the Minneapolis September futures contract, unchanged from Monday's basis.
