    AAFC finally increased its canola export estimate but how AAFC did it will raise eyebrows. AAFC used a negative Feed, Waste and Dockage (FWD) total as shown here to supply the increase, suggesting Statistics Canada (STC) must have underestimated historic production and that it would revise its FWD total once STC revises its estimates.     If AAFC is wrong on its assumption that Statistics Canada past production estimates are incorrect for canola, then carryover could fall to unreasonably low levels given a negative Feed, Waste and Dockage total is not acceptable.

    Two storm systems combined to produce widespread and mostly heavy rainfall across the Corn Belt over the last week. For some areas, that was sorely needed. For others, that has meant overly wet conditions and flooding.
